I booked Tambaram to Madurai by Pandian on Tuesday night 29.04.2014 with W/L 183.PNR 4507953182.On charting at 7.00 pm on 29.04.2014 it comes to W/L 3.Since i am a bye-passed person my son not allowed to catch Pandiyan with W/L 3 BOOKED IN Kovilpatti railway station reservation counter.He dropped me at Chennai central at 11.45 pm Tuesday ( Tuesday mid night and Wednesday started 00.01 ).
In this time current reservation counter closed and some one told FROM THE CLOSED COUNTER to me to surrender my ticket at 8 .00 am to 10.00 am .So I surrender the W/L 3 ticket in the enquiry counter and received TICKET DEPOSIT RECEIPT no 221710 at 23.50 pm on 29.04.2014 .

i booked super fast second class open ticket for senior citizen male from Chennai Central to Madurai via Erode and Karur ticket no 514404799 in window 3 MAS on 30.4.2014 for Rs 110,since the booking Clark does not issued sleeper class ticket.I enter the train 12688 at 2.45 am in S3 coach in platform 8.
I contact a TTE and he issued SR EXCESS FARE TICKET AJ 913563 for Rs 160 and total fare comes as Rs 270 and allotted berth 33/S5 coach. without considering my age 61 senior citizen. I have 61 years age proof id cards.He informed me no senior citizen benefit awarded in train BY TTE.
Please clarify even though in Chennai Central major Terminal station has no W/L SURRENDER FACILITIES IN THE LATE NIGHT AND NO SENIOR CITIZEN BENEFIT IN THE TRAIN BY TTE.
DEHRADOON-MADURA SF ARRIVED 20 MINUTES EARLIER IN MADURAI AT 12.25 AM.Travel in this train is a very comfortable one in the sleeper class.
