The maximum number of RAC seats available for a particular train in a particular class. It varies from train to train, from class to class and from boarding/deboarding point to boarding/deboarding point.

#RACAllocation tag refers to the number of RACs allocated between a set of stations on a particular route on a particular train for a given class of travel and DOJ. Not all RACs are allotted for end-to-end travelers, remote locations do indeed get RACs, in which case it would difficult to ascertain how many hurdles one has to cross to get a CNF berth. So, this tag provides one info. as to the number of them between any two stations. This should help people reconcile their chances of getting a confirmed berth as chart preparation approaches.
