You again made a comment without understanding sir, I never mentioaned P7/P5 is an honour to the passengers, it's an honour to the Shatabdi itself. And if you want to say from passengers perspective, then also yes; Rajdhani, Shatabdi- they are a face of progressing India. In many cases foreighners prefer them in first place. So whatever you are doing for these trains, it is quite possible that you may be representing you country infront of a guest. And every tries to present their glossiest aspects infront of a guest.
Also knowing history is not a big deal in this decade. WAP1(or WAM4E at the time of introduction, 3900BHP) were introduced in1980, but it's 2014 now. Wikipedia :)

wam is near the end of its life ... so in some years they will be scrapped.
