I need to travel from Vile Parle to Airoli
I plan to take the ADH PNVL LOCAL at 0845 from VLP to VSH and VASHI THANE LOCAL to Airoli thereafter.
I have never traveled in Mumbai local before.

Slow to Dadar will be crowded as it wil be bound to CCG. But one to TNA will be less crowded in the morning.
Catching bus is unpredictable.

May be that's your take. But as a person staying in Airoli, I depend on 525 everytime i come to ADH as the freq. is also good.. No worries..
Train takes circuitous route...best would be taking a bus ..if u wish to go by train then the route mentioned by you is hassle free....though a bit long and other routes may reach faster
