From which points railway calculate the distance between two stns. For big stations with long pfs, which point to point are taken to specify distance.?
For eg: Nzm to Jhs distance, nzm cabin to jhs cabin distance is taken or nzm pf end to jhs pf start or anyother way?

The KM point is very much visible of section and the mid point is closest to station building with round off for fare calculation.
Thnx, as its was always a bit of doubt to me that frm which point distance is measured, as many stn has very long pfs which can give +/- 1 or 1.5km diff, if taken frm pf end/start
