pls pls pls get down at burdwan and take an emu or express to howrah. kanchan gets delayed after burdwan. plus traffic wl b horrible at around 7pm near sealdah bara bazar and howrah bridge. changing trains will give u decent buffer, easy on ur pocket plus peace of mind
hmm...this option seems good after reading the two suggestions. Was really worried what to do.thanks a lot to both of you :)
other way is to get down at bally halt(if train stops) or dakshineshwar!
from bally halt, u can get down through stairs to bally, where u can catch local to howrah or from daakshineshwar, take share auto(5rs only) to bally and then take local.

i will have a good amount of luggage with me..so maybe burdwan option will be more comfortable....
yes BWN option will be better for you. It will require less hassles. In case main line local and chord line locals departing simultaneously, opt for the 'chord' local as it will take less time and will be less crowded than its counterpart. If available, opt for express trains.
