Bus is the best and fastest way.

If you are specific with train you will have to come to bangalore and then take a train.

For a train journey one has to go to bangalore as there are no direct trains/train route from mysore to coimbatore. If time is constraint, better to go by road as it takes just 5-6 hours.

Mysore and CBE are just 4 hours by private vehicle and 5 hours by public transport vehicle. As both these cities are separated by mighty western ghats they have no rail links and if it has to happen it will have an adverse effect on biodiversity of both the states.
