Uttarbanga Exp: উত্তরের আত্মার আত্মীয় - Avinaba Bose

This is probably the only train which i have seen in Kerala which overtakes quite a few trains within Kerala and that too within short distances. A good example is to take this train preferably between Palakkad and Ernakulam. Yesterday i had boarded this train and it overtook 3 trains within a span of 20 minutes.
1) First overtake: Overtakes 16310 Patna-ernakulam express at Lakkidi. Patna ernakulam express was on time.
2) Second overtake: Overtakes 12511 Gorakhpur-Trivandrum Raptisagar express at Ottapalam. Raptisagar was late by 4 hours.

Third overtake: Overtakes 13351 Dhanbad-Alleppey express at Mannanur. Dhanbad -Alleppey exrpress was on time.
Similarly I have also seen it overtaking Mumbai Duronto,Shalimar-Trivandrum,Gurudev express on other days. There are also some occasions wherre it overtakes venad express at chalakudi if Venad is running late.
Most of the times it covers the distance of 140 km between Palakkad and ERS in about 2 hours and 20 minutes making it one of the fastest train in this route
