Hi frnd's one of my frnd said me the HASSAN- BANGALORE new line is completed till Hirisave So there is a plan to extend MYS - Shravanabelogola train to till Hirisave, so any one can give more info on this & how much it may take to lay track from Hirisave to Nelamangala.

Sir... I agree to your point that KSRTC buses always run jam packed b/n Hassan and Bangalore. Even I m trying to tell the same thing. Hassan crowd is more spread out towards Mysore, Bangalore, Mandya, Tumkur and Chikmagalur. I can see a huge crowd from Hassan in a pass. train bound to MYS and people get down in large numbers at Mosalehosahalli, Sravanooru etc. etc. But I really doubt whether Hassan can draw same crowd towards cities like New Delhi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad etc..
Disagree, pls see the TT of 22617/18... by the time it reaches it is almost 21:00 then another 3hrs in this new route if possible night time will reach HAS @ 24:00 may be more... and should leave SBC at 07:40 means should be there @ SBC around 07:15... will make to leave HAS @ 04:00 which is very difficult...
Railways have to modify the agreement only. Even if doubling get sanctioned, will take decades to complete, especially in ghats.
