At least IR should have run a pilot loco but now it seems that we'll have to wait for the investigation report findings.... unfortunately all routes of Bihar State be it via Gaya or via Patna or via Chapra have become 100% unsafe especially during night time for most trains passing through the State in the past 25 Years......................... Bhagwan Ji hi Malik hain hum sab ki jaan ke :-(
JUST LIKE the deadly janeshwari super dulux accident b/w hwh-kgp :(
Thanks for sharing the photographs. I am not sure if anybody has noticed it or not, the coaches did not crumple or get on top of each other telecopically unlike in traditional trains, thanks to the LHB coaches.
It is being said that 17 fish plates had been removed, hence, it's anybody's guess how could this disaster been prevented as far as maintenance is concerned. However, I feel that running a pilot loco may have helped.
