I have seen videography of the passengers and coaches (including GEN coaches)being done at Kolkata station in the train 12357 Punjab Superfast express. Probably such practice is followed for other trains as well.
Since at Kolkata station, the general as well as reserved coaches are not much crowded, hence it is done comfortably.
