Abhi~ 8548 blog postsfor tomorrows run nearly 275 seats available from pune to sc after chart preparation ..just for the sake of shatabdi they run it during morning , i think if this can run overnight( although against the concept of shatabdi ) and cover distance in 8 hours then it will run full....it will be faster than buses , cheaper than buses + more comfortable than buses too..IR has to be innovative in order to use the resources properly ...on weekdays every day u can find 100s of seats empty in this train ..

If passenger is not available for this Shatabdi throughout the year, undoubtedly this will be withdrawn. May be during the budget, this train will be converted into a Jan Shatabdi. I have some doubts on NJP HWH Shatabdi also. In no case, the Rly will operate a Shatabdi if they are in loss.
it doesnt go empty but more than 100 seats are always available in it..
Pune-Sc has good number of passengers. There are many people who book at the last minute. Very soon it will be running with LHB coaches.
i can bet even with LHB this will run with empty seats on weekdays in tune of 150+
But so far I know this train was very popular when it used to run as Shatabdi Spl; later a Jan Shatabdi Spl was introduced but was a flop; hence RB had to make it come back and later on it was a permanent...So why currently it is struggling to get pax?!
