Can I reach near platform 8 in Bangalore city stn directly by taxi to catch rajdhani, instead of through pltfm 1 and walking all the way with luggage? If so shd the taxi take a diversion road from near pltfm 1? Shall be grateful for your guidance and help.

You can do that sir. Just ask the taxi guy to drop you at the Okhalipuram entrance popularly known as the back side entrance. Except for approaches from the northern and western parts of Bangalore you are likely to pass in front of the main entrance of the railway station to reach the rear entrance. The distance from the front entrance to the rear entrance hardly exceeds 3/4th of a kilometer by road.
