Mumbai: Over a dozen boys between 14 – 21 years of age, all members of ‘nazar hati boti kati’ group, gathered outside CST railway station to protest against the railway budget that proposed that trial runs of local trains with closed doors will soon be undertaken as a measure towards passengers safety.
Miffed...
more... at the prospect of losing youtube audience and more importantly bastiwali Reshma’s respect, this bunch of boys raised slogans like ‘Apun ka darwaja, khullach rakh Raja’ and ‘Kurla-Bhandup-Thane, sab log humko jaane’.
It all happened after Union railway Minister Sadanand Gowda in his budget speech on Tuesday announced that doors of local trains will remain closed, trial run of which he said will commence soon.
An emergency meeting was held at Pappu Keeda’s hutment in Kamani area in Kurla headed by Babu Chamdi whose stunt video was seen by more than two lakh people on Youtube. Chamdi who is wanted by the railway police after the video emerged addressed the crowd saying, “Bhai log darne ka nahi. Abhi peechle hafte facebook aur whatsapp pe jokes aane ke baad sarkar ne gaadi ka bhaada badhane ke baad waapis kheecha, apun bhi apna awaz sarkar tak pahuchayega.”
Munna Jazbaati, who was turned down several times by Reshma for sitting pillion on his bike just because Rehman performed better stunts than him said, “Saala apun din dekha na raat, kabhi train ke upar se bandar ki tarah train mein ghusa, kabhi platform pe chalu gaadi mein chappal ko ghisa. Itna practice kiya tha ki is time to eid pe Reshma apun ke saath hi phirni khaane ko aati, pan ye sala minister log kya samjhega garib ke pyaar ko.”
Constable Sunil Binpagare who was passing by the protesting group immedaitely recognised Babu Chamdi and nabbed him right at the spot.
“This is going to be my prize catch. I was always taunted by my colleagues of being good for nothing and only interested in collecting hafta from hawkers on railway premises. Today they will have to chew their own words,” he was found murmering to himself while chewing gutkha.
Youngsters from nearby colleges armed with smart phones were found capturing the entire drama on video. “Kuch bhi bol yaar, these guys are heroes. I got 45 likes, most of them from girls after I posted one of their videos on Facebook criticising them saying ‘railway romeos, out to die’ et al. The videos were also trending on Twitter. Hope the government hears them out,” Lucky Bhatia told his friend Bunty before the duo proceeded to watch the matinee show of Ek villain.
Meanwhile, the city police and the railway police were found arguing for over two hours as to in whose jurisdiction was the protest held.
