Initially, some SR Pilots n Unions opposed EMD's due to their View and driving techniques.
And however, allotment is up to the HQ. Based on reports, feed-backs, sometimes locos are changed in some sections.
Presently, as per them an ALCO is much better for certain sections.

Ur absolutely rite WDP 4B is just only upto tirunelveli jn and it doesnot goes beyond tat and madurai LPs feel frustated to drive WDP 4B for pothigai express from SCT TO MDU AND MDU TO SCT and now WDP 4B goes to SCT tat to madurai crews had some clash to drive this............
Thats very bad by SR loco pilots . SWR loco pilots are simply awesome with EMD's. SWR has numerous curves in its jurisdiction compared to SR
Dude.. In SR, SRR crews are simply awesome.. SRR crews are one of the best loco pilots..
yeah it varies actually , ED crew simply rock with WAP 4. I think i forgot to mention MDU crew in Specific.
