Okay, I am sorry! You may or may not be correct (90% may be). But....My question yet remains unanswered (What is the risk in getting down at a tech. halt?). Don't worry, I am not going to discuss any more "unnecessary" things further in this post. It is true that a few things are understood but not necessarily by everyone. Kindly answer my question as I still haven't understood the answer.

My answer has not even a distant trace of link to your question, yet I recall a movie of 70s, where Amitabh Bachchan played villain. Where he is murdering someone. When he is charged, he plays innocent by producing the Railway ticket that shows he was not in the station at the time murder but had boarded the train from Mumbai to Pune. His trick was that he gets down at intermediate station and returns to murder his enemy. After finishing the job he hires a taxi on the pretext that he missed Pune bound train and he has valid reservation. And the driver puts him in station where train is just moving away towards Pune, and Amtabh assumes he is safe now.

rules may not be explicitly telling anything about descending the train at Technical halts even when you have the ticket to travel to destination, but yet the 'Amitabh' episode is plausible any time anywhere.:)

Hey, I think this movie is Parwana. I have seen it. The same scene has been copied in the 2007 movie Johnny Gaddar where Neil Nitin Mukhesh plays the role of Amitabh Bacchan. Anyhow, let us stop discussing movies and let this discussion end here.
