Southern Railway is planning to launch “On Board House Keeping Services (OBHS)” in select trains, besides taking up a drive to improve the appearance and condition of coaches. Kerala express is in the list.
While the OBHS will hopefully keep the interiors clean, lets hope that SR replaces some old coaches of this prestigious train !!

I saw one recently POHed '91 made coach of 16344 Amrita exp having seat "For OBHS staff". The seating was in the space bw door n the reserves seats...
The coaches were neat n the bathrooms were super clean n smelled good!! :D
