Hi folks,
I have US visa interview in kolkata on 12th August at 8 AM morning. I am right now in chennai. I am planning to travel by Howra mail 12840 Howra mail which leaves chennai at 23.20 August 10 and reaches kolkata by 4.10Am morning August 12th. Will the train will be on time. Also is it better to book in irctc or through reservation counter. Right now the current status is RAC 36 SL General quota

3AC ,in all probability might end up in RAC . And Tatkal for the East coast exp for a Tue dep opens on Monday at 10 am. But I am more worried if you can make it to this train. A 8 am interview which could end up by 10 and then for you to cross the Howrah bridge during morning rush hours to reach the station, touch risky isnt it?
