I understand but shortest path might not work if you are looking to connect different cities which have been neglected. With regards to the patronage from BAY Iam sure it will have good number of people using this as connectivity to Delhi. About the route, I think SWR has decided to utilize the JRU-BAY route which was only used for 2 passenger trains all these days. Once the Tumkur-Rayadurg line is completed all these trains could be diverted in the new route cutting down the distance.

LDH aur JAT is liye jaruri hai kyonki Waha ke liye Bangalore se ek bhi train nahi hai. Agar LDH stoppage milta to Bangalore se LUDHIANA/Jalandhar/Amritsar jaane waalo ko uska labh milta.
