What this report does not cover is the big double-track bridge over Yamuna near ALD which was built by the British and has rail services running since 1927. The underlying road bridge was completed even earlier in 1865 and has been in continuous use since then.. its the sole link connecting Naini with ALD junction.
This bridge is in urgent need of major renovation or replacement altogether and somehow does not seem to get the attention it deserves.

Also want to add that if something happens to this bridge then ALL trains from MGS to ALD would have to travel via MGS-BSB-ALY-ALD which would easily add 4-8 hours to the journey due to congestion and single line..
God forbid if that happens then the MGS ALD bermuda triangle complaints we keep hearing about everyday will sound like a joke
