vamsikrishnapatta 85 blog postsWith Vijayawada being declared as the capital of the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh,an overnighter should be introduced between BBS/VSKP and BZA for the public's convenience...In my view it would be better to start the train from BBS,because the districts of Srikakulam,Vizianagaram and also the sizable chunk of Telugus residing in the southern part of Odisha would be benefited.

Completly agree.
BZA pfs 8-10 can only handle Trains towards Warangal side and cannot handle the trains from Warangal due to a few RRI problems. Recently a third line has been sanctioned from Kondapalli to Vijayawada that will serve this purpose. If this is finished, there will be extra slots available from platforms 1-7.
Given the number of passing through trains, it is very much advisable not to start any trains from this station.

GALA is most suitable as its in line with coastal andhra and Rayalaseema region which is part of AP. If RYP then again Kakinda, Vskp side trains need to have loco change or bypass line should be updated for passenger coach trains also.
Any ways many still not able to understand what new capital will have except govt offices , assembly , secretariat. The remaining dist people will travel to these offices only. The location of these offices not yet fixed it seems.

There need not be any loco reversal for VSKP, GDV (loco change required) bound trains from/to WL side at RYP. In case of GALA, it will help only VSKP main line trains while GDV bound trains will still need to have a loco reversal at BZA. And even GALA needs the bypass line to be upgraded. This would save almost 20-30 mins for VSKP & GDV bound trains & frees up BZA by a few trains.
As of the capital, it'll most likely be in Guntur district along the reservoir of Prakasam Barrage.

How come a train from RYP goes towards VSKP with out a loco reversal at BZA ??
When it takes the BZA bypass.
The entire point of having a satellite station at GALA is to let VSKP-SC trains pass through Vijayawada without having to loose time for loco reversal at BZA.
I'm telling the same. Why use GALA when RYP can let MTM bound trains also to bypass BZA.
