I had a W/L 3AC ticket in HWH YPR Duranto Express, travel date on October 5th,2014. Today, i got a message that it's new status is RAC 18. Please let me know if this can be confirmed after charting. (Entry# 1188104)

So, i can proceed and cancel my confirmed ticket in S/L , which i had booked as a standby ticket, to be on a safer side ?
You can certainly wait till the 2nd since the cancellation charges will be same until then. As people seem to be suggesting it should confirm. However funnier things have happened and we have seen RAC1 not confirm. Can you live with that?
If you can afford it, I would suggest you keep it till the end. Its a really long journey and I would prefer to travel with full berth in SL than a half berth in 3A. Your preference might be different.

Now the status is RAC16. I am in a dilema whether to go for Tatkal or with the confirm ticket in SL or with the RAC16 in 3AC. What to do ...
Can anyone please help me? What should i do? There are #48 seats in 3AC that are getting booked via Tatkal. Not able to decide !! :(
