The onward journey from YPR to Ghataprabha was easy thanks to late opening of bookings for 06517- but return journey became too tough and asked my cousin to book through tatkal- and got it in 16536 from UBL to SBC
Took a cab from Dandeli and admidst continous downpour and drizzle reached the superb looking station of SWR HQ resembling more like an airport terminal at 9:00PM 2 hours before hour scheduled departure. Had dinner at irctc food plaza and waited in well maintained Sleeper class waiting room on Pf-1. UBL...
more... WDP-4 entered in at 21:10 on Pf-1 with the 12725 siddhaganga ICE unloading a huge load of passengers. at 21:45 hrs Another UBL WDP-4 came in on Pf-2 with the BZA-UBL pass and immediately got ready for return journey to BZA.
at 22:15hrs announcement came for 16590 Rani Chennamma Express and the huge crowd of PF-1 got ready- Again it was turn of UBL WDP-4 entering on Pf-1 with the crowded rake which got completely packed. At 22:30hrs announcement was made for 16536 to arrive shortly on PF-4 ahead of schedule by 10 mins. A huge crowd went with us and just as we descended the stairs UBL wDP-4 20021 came in at 22:35 hrs with the 16536 which got completely full. The Miraj Express was stationed on the corner of PF-5 awaiting departure in opposite direction
Having office the next day, i set the berths to go for a relaxed sleep. at sharp 23:00 hrs UBL WDP-4 started in the opposite direction after rake reversal and i went off to sleep
Woke up at 4:25Am to find train standing as announcement went for the Arsikere Mysore pass on PF-3. 5 hrs and 25 mins for 300 kms on single line section seemed no less achievement.
Woke up next time- Time was 6:05Am and we were at Tumkur ahead of schedule by 20 long minutes- right from UBl arrival time till TK, it was complete BT arrival- High slack SWR please reduce it!!! After completing schedule time, we departed
Sound of a chugging alco woke me up at 6:45A?M as the UBL bound Janshatabdi crossed us. Woke at 7:20AM as we slowed down and asked my dad where we were- Reply came-YPr outer!!! Got down and in meantime we crossed the 16528 waiting from LOGH line for clearance as we proceeded to halt on Pf-3 of YPR at 7:30AM 15 mins BT again!!!. WAP1 hauled 12846 BBS Weekly was on Pf-1 and 22134 arrived rake was resting on PF-4. At 7:55 we got the starter to proceed and blasted past UBL WDP-4 hauled UBL bound passenger to arrive on PF-8 of SBC at 8:05AM again 5 minutes BT!!!!
Later NTES data said train reached MYS at 10:55 10 mins BT!!!!
