Print out is COMPULSORY if you availed the pay online option for the bedding. SMS wont work with the attendants. Show your printouts/screen shots to the attendant before you settle in at the storage area near the toilets else you risk them running out of stock.
all garibrath attendants are supposed to have the charts with them right ? why's the printout necessary ? i am a frequent traveler on vskp garibrath ... just SMS is fine ...

Exactly! The purpose of SMS facility itself is defeated. Its not just this train that I found this out, The SC YPR express too has this problem. They didn't seem to have charts in their possession.
Thank God, the attendant didn't ask me for the print out when I traveled
