Finaly Chikkamagaluru is got a direct connectivity to Capital city Bangalore. But if they would have started the train around 5am & Ypr reaching will be 10.30 - 11 am would have excellent but still Mr DVS is doing excellent work by connecting 2 tier & 3 tier cities with bangalore. He should take some interest & responsibility towards MAQ - SBC route also where expectations are huge from the people. But recently announced KURLA EXP which going to start in few days is not going to fulfill the MAQ - SBC day time exp demand. KURLA EXP will be helpful for SBC - MYS ( as a ICE ) MYS - MAQ, no one will prefer this from end to end. IR should compete HAS - SBC route as soon as possible, where travel time will be less than 10 hrs.

Hey, its Kudla exp , not Kurla exp.
I heard there was a problem with Nelamangala-Shravanabelagola line near Kunigal related to Mallya's stud farm, but now that hurdle is cleared.

HAS-SBC new line will become operational only by mid-2016. But I have a doubt, when there is some operational restriction on Sakhleshpura- Subramanya Rd , then how come this new line HAS-SBC will be helpful for MAQ ???

S u r rit, but they should come up with answer for this stretch .. otherwise its too difficult to expect a trains in this route. If everything goes well then we can see trains from MAQ to TPTY, MAS, KCG & travel time will also reduced.

Please note you can run 10 trains from Bangalore to Sakleshpura when the new line is ready in March 2016 but from Sakleshpura to Subramanya Road is the issue. HMRDA will not allow passenger trains on this line. As per the contract with HMRDA and Indian Railways they can run max 4 passenger trains and in that only 1 night train. Due to this no major action is going to happen. DVS is having a negotiation with HMRDA and as of last week nothing concrete has happened.DUe to this DVS is running Kudla Express as a day train from BAngalore to Mangalore Central via Mysore since there is already a day train running via Arsikere Hassan for 3 days in a week. I don't think so any thing is going to happen for the time being because HMRDA is PPP and they are making huge revenue running freight trains. as per...

the contract they can run 20 freight train and 4 passenger train. the only option is to scrap the HMRDA a which Indian railways will not be in a position now else go for doubling which needs more than 4000 chores and Environment issues
