Looking for any tips or suggestion on how not to loose shoes in trains ?

sir,
mere saath yeh anhoni bhi ho chuki hai. SL class mein 1 pc shoe missing tha :(

1) dont take it off
2) tie the lace with the fan if upper berth , but only after everyone is asleep
3) try fitting it in the pockets provided if the pockets in place
4) carry a polyethylene and put the shoes in that and then pack it in the bag

I will give u best way to keep it safe.
