Deccan Queen - Down the Ghat…7 Different Locomotives in Action…!
On seeing my favorite locomotive WCAM-2P, I started capturing departure of my Pune Junction/PUNE - Mumbai CST/CSTM 12124 Deccan Queen from Lonavala hauled by Kalyan (KYN) WCAM-3. As we started gliding down the “Bhor Ghat”, first we got to see 2 different type locomotives working together as bankers, Kalyan (KYN) WCAM-2P # 21876 (POH’d and re-painted similar to WAG-5 with change in gear ratio along with conversion to Pure AC 6P with WAG-5 MU equipment.) MU’d with Kalyan (KYN) WAG-5A # 23649. As we gliding down, Erode (ED) WDM-3D # 14144 “Gajraj” climbing with Mumbai CST/CSTM - Pune Junction/PUNE 22105 Indrayani Superfast Express which was backed up by Triplet, Kalyan (KYN) WAG-7
