The PMO is keeping a special watch on this EDFC Project and land acquisitions have taken place in Jharkhand (and may be West Bengal too as I had read about compensation to land owners in the newspaper).... I just hope that by or within 2019 this project should commence as the next central govt may or may not be excited about IR's flagship projects [EDFC & WDFC] that I feel are more important than bullet trains :-/
