As said by Venkat going via Mysore is the shortest distance. If by Rajdhani get down at Mangalore and from Mangalore to Mysore and to OOty by bus. You can also get down at Kannur or Kozhikode and proceed to OOty by bus (less bus). But remember from Wasai Road or Panvel no booking will be allowed in to MAJN, CAN, or CLT in TVC Rajdhani booking is allowed only up to TVC.
