Very true. Standing in queue is a sureshot method to get the seat you want, especially when there are lots of seats up for grabs.
It's IR server who bookes ticket not IRCTC.

Ya,that's the best way to go about it,mate.You don wanna be hassled in the middle of a journey for occupying a seat which doesn't belong to you so on basis of that........it's always better to book a seat of your choice. :) Totally understand where you coming from.
:) Here,at RJY there are two stations one being RJY and the other being GVN.GVN tends to busy most of the times since it's right next to the main business area/localities but RJY tends to give you a bit of breathing space in the evenings after 18:15 hrs.
