This was close to Kumbla on the Karnataka-Kerala border.

Need not be an error always. I have compared several times while driving and each time it was accurate
I do also use this app and found this to be accurate with +-3/4 Kmph
I also used same app on this train from kannur to khozikode and train moved with constant speed of 104 kmph then I on same app again from thrissur to Ernakulam town and train went on constant speed of 97 kmph. then train waited at Ernakulam town upto 20 min till the Jan shatabhi overtakes and reach Ernakulam Jn nearly 5 min late. I really enjoyed when train horribly horned and skip Kannur Jn with its full speed.
