December 20, 2014 witnesses another Railfan Meet of Mumbai's CR Zone Railfans. Though it was not well planed, we enjoyed a lot. We all had planned to go to Bhayandar Creek but at last...
more... moment the plan changed and we all met at Dombivli(Can call it as Navi Bhayandar :P). The members include in this meet were - Amol Nikam, Anshul Vipat, Paurav Shah, Harshad Joshi, Awes Khan**, Ravi Prajapati**, Hussain**, Joshua Mendonca**, Amit Pathak and Awes Khan's Brother.

December 20, Afternoon, I came back from my school and made my mood for the much awaited Railfan meet. As my Whatsapp is closed, I was not aware about the happenings in the Groups. I had my lunch and departed towards Bhandup station. I went to ticket counter in the east which is mostly deserted but was shock to see that there was a big queue at the Counter. After waiting for 10 mins, I took the Kalyan tkt and went on platform No. 1 to catch the Kalyan Local which was expected to arrive by 3 mins. I called Amol Nikam to ask where to meet. His voice was little harsh and it looked as he was frustrated. He told that Hussain wants to change the location from Bhayandar to Bhandup/Dombivli. Later I called Joshua and ask about where to meet. He told me to meet him at Thane. So I de-boarded the local at Thane and met him on PF #2. I asked him about the happenings in the group. Till 3:10pm we all were deciding where to meet. At Last Awes Khan told Joshua to meet at Bhandup. So we boarded TNA-CST local and were made to halt between TNA and MLND. Later the location again changed and Finally the location which was decided was DOMBIVLI. We both de-boarded the Local at Mulund and boarded the Kalyan local. We are now on the way to Dombivli. Local had an MPS between Kalva-Mumbra and Diva-Kopar.

Local reached Dombivli at 3:50pm. Later I saw Amol, Anshul, Harshad whom I have seen earlier, were sitting on PF#3 of Dombivli. Quickly ran through FOB and met them. Later I was introduced with Hussain, Ravi, Amit Pathak to whom I met for first time. We had some talks about today's session and soon I saw that Kazi twins were firing at Kopar and proceeding towards Dombivli. I quickly ran towards the Kalyan end of the Platform and captured the firing moment of Konark Express. Later I came back to the point where all were standing. Soon Paurav Sir joined us. We had a great laughing session on the platform and talk. Later a Group pic was clicked by Amol Nikam from My cam. Soon then WDG4 twins #12090 and #12092 passed Dombivli with some goods towards Kalyan yard. Later on, We moved towards the Kalyan end of the Platform.

We saw some locals which were shining. And every local which were shining arrives, Amol use to say "POH hai yeh local". 1 Local passed. 2nd local passed, 3rd passed, Amol was only with one sentence "POHed Hai". Later on POH was turned into a Joke for Amol Nikam. A Local came which was having red marks(of Paan) on it. We all said "See that Local. Its POHed in Badlapur". Later a Badlapur bound Fast Local arrived which was really POHed. Everyone's mind worked and started cracking jokes like "Badlapur Car Shed ki POH local aayi", "Amol Livery POH hai" etc. For almost 20-30 mins we were just making fun of Amol. Amol Nikam was in state " Kyu mein apna muh khola inko batane ki local POH hai" :P

An Ambernath Bound Local arrived. The amount of crowd of the Local de-boarded in the same amount the people entered the Local. The local was packed. People were hanging outside. Later the train accelerates and someone fall down from the Local on the Platform. The Victim was not much hurt. He was safe. Now its time for some Action. Far away CST side end, we were able to see the dippers of the Loco. Everybody took position to capture it. I saw that the train was at slow pace. Stopped my video and clicked some pics of the train. WAP 4 with LTT-Ranchi had a decent pass through Dombivli. It was a disappointing capture for all as we all were expecting a Blast. Just after 3-4 Mins, WCAM 2p #21871 with CST-Kanyakumari Jayanti Janta Express too decently passed Dombivli at speed of 70-75 kmph. It looks as there somewhere TSR/PSR near Dombivli. Later on Awes Khan messaged us that he had crossed Diva and About to reach Dombivli. After 3 mins, A Fast Local arrived on PF#4. It was the local which Awes Khan has boarded from Byculla. After the Local departed, We all were introduced to Awes Khan and his Brother.

Awes Khan was shocked to see the controlling of CR. He didn't expected such traffic in Mumbai. He was just shock to see the Time span between two trains, One train going, other entering soon. One train Going and Other coming. Karjat Fast local arrived and Awes was just wondering what may be the situation inside. AMol cracked a Joke, "ek Din me Jitne log Amravati ke har train me chadte/Utarte hai utne yaha ek local me chadte/utarte hai". Now it was time for LTT-NZB to pass. WDM3d of kalyan #11455 had a great blast through Dombivli. Now we all were planning to visit Kalyan Electric Trip Shed (ETS). At 5:45pm, WCAM2p Hauled Nandigram Express passed Dombivli at 70kmph. Now its time for the QUEEN OF CR. Everybody's eyes towards Kopar Side. at 5:50pm, Dippers were seen at Kopar. The Signal was Double Yellow at Dombivli. All were expecting a Blast. Queen entered Dombivli, The Signal turned Green. All were happy and happily captured the Queen. WCAM3 hauled Deccan Queen passed Dombivli at 80-85 kmph approx. I was in touch with JVC Coelho. He was standing at Bhandup to capture Deccan Odyssey. Deccan Odyssey was schedule to depart for its tour "JEWELS OF THE DECCAN" to Hyderabad. But sadly it didn't departed from CST. Finally all were ready to visit Kalyan ETS to see if any new loco had came as it was the day of testing of AC 25000kv run on TNA-CST stretch. Anshul, Joshua and I took tickets from the East ticket counter of Dombivli. Later on at 6pm, we boarded the Kalyan 15 Car Fast local. Amit Pathak left for home from Dombivli.

We arrived on PF#5 of Kalyan and all started walking towards Pune Side of Platform. From the end of Platform, we crossed the tracks and walked almost 1.5km towards Kalyan Electric Trip shed. It was the first time to enter any Loco Shed. We saw 2 WCAM3, 2 WCAM2p, 1 WAG9(no shed Marking) and one WCM3(Pure AC Loco). The workers of the Shed were testing the WCAM3 and 2p and making them ready for their duties. We waited inside the ETS for 15 mins. Later on We asked the Loco pilot of WCAM3 about the testing in the midnight. Ravi and Hussain asked them "Will this WCAM3 and 2p will be use for today's Night test run?". LP replied Yes and Asked "Are u all Officials?". Ravi Sir answered him " No, we are just Railfans". LP Again asked "How did u all know about the test run?". He Smartly replied, "It came in the news, Today test run on CR". We all now thought waiting for more time may lead us to some problem so we all quickly escaped from the ETS and came near the tracks.

It was 7pm. Mumbai Bound Udyan Express arrived Kalyan with WDP4. We all were seeing the maintenance of the train. It was Nicely maintained and Cleaned. We came near Platform No. 6 of Kalyan and it was time to say Good Bye to Amol Nikam and Anshul Vipat as Badlapur local was about to arrive. Later on, I remembered that I didn't had the ticket to Bhandup, So Paurav Sir and I went to take ticket to the counter. After 20 mins standing in Queue, We both went back to the point where all were standing. Harshad Joshi and Hussain had departed to their home before I reached the point. Now only Paurav sir, Ravi Prajapati, Joshua, Awes and his brother and I were at Kalyan. We all went to board 7:21pm Khopoli-CST Fast which came on PF7 and was full packed. Now what to say to Mumbai Locals. We are not boarding the Locals, We are pushed inside by other peoples. Somehow We all managed to enter the local and I de-boarded the local and went to My Uncle's Home. Time to say Good Bye to all. Expect a great meet next time too.............................
