Actually its link has always been with NR. Earlierit was GZB WAP1 now it gets GZB WAP5..... BRC locos are offlinks with this train
WAP-5's TE won't b increased.

Yaa I had heard about MU WAP-5 in between
Even 30059-30060 WAP-5 Produced by CLW was MUed but later split on by BRC ELS.
Same was the case for 30069-30070..

MU will b helpful, but its nt yet implemented.
Only tests were successful.
WAP-5 can b modified for faster purpose with short rakes, but with long, IR has to upgrade more effort. WAP-5 can't take more.

MU is not much use in my opinion.
better to use single wap7 or develop 8000 hp loco,
