It is observed that passengers train hauled by WAP4 OR WAP5, THE ENGINES ARE very dirty. These engines need to be WASHED or cleaned before attaching to train. It is observed that the coaches are well cleaned, but the engines are dirty. When the train arrives at any city/station, the first sight is of engine, and if this engine itself is dirty then one thinks twice before boarding. Railways before attaching engines ot trains ensure that engines are WASHED.
Every engine has a roster schedule n is cleaned as per its schedule itself.
During its idling process at trip sheds, minor check up is done n is sent back to duty or home as per roster.
