The work to double the railway track between Yeshwantpur and Yelahanka is almost over but the line remains underutilised as the South Western Railway (SWR) is...
We can not say it is under utilised. The train movement pattern of Blore is that most of the trains from upcountry reaches in the morning and leaves in the afternoon or evening. The other time it may be used for goods traffic and other related works. The double line becomes more useful when suburban services are run between KGI-SBC-YPR-YNK-CSDR-BYPL-SBC like that.It is very much essential that this work is completed at the earliest so that more trains towards CBP touching International Airport could be run.I have seen the work going on. It will not be completed by March as reported in the paper
Who has written this article? First of all, the second line is not open for traffic! How can they claim it to be under utilized or waste even before starting the section?? In fact, the work itself is not complete, they should remodel YNK lines to accommodate the new line. And the person has given false facts to support his claims. There are at least 30 trains running on that line each day apart from freights. Yes, YNK - GTL must be taken up before any other project but he can't take away things from YNK-YPR doubling.
