Grievance Description : Sir, This is to bring the attention of the concerned authorities to the quota allocation in 15014 KGM-JSM Ranikhet Express. Before the extension of the above mentioned train in the 2012-13 Railway budget to BGKT and further in 2013-14 budget to JSM, all stations from MB and beyond to any destination came under the Pooled Quota. After the extension, all stations in the extended part between DLI and JSM too have been included in the Pooled Quota instead of dedicated Remote Location quotas for the important stations like Delhi, Jaipur, Ajmer and Jodhpur. Due to the same, even though most of the seats in this train are booked till Delhi, a passenger seeking a ticket from any station beyond Delhi too gets a Pooled-Quota-Wait-listed ticket. Although such tickets do get confirmed at charting when unused berths are forwarded, most of the passengers are unaware of this and it affects the patronage badly. In addition, this leads to two more issues. 1)Unused seats do not appear in Current Availability at DLI, JP, AII or JU due to absence of a dedicated quota. 2) Since charting of PQ happens at the same time as GN, chart for all stations gets prepared the previous evening which is a bit too early for stations like AII and beyond. Hence to ensure maximum usage of the unused seats on this train, I'd request the concerned to allocate a Remote Location Quota to stations like DLI, JP, AII and JU, if possible.
