Eh, WDM-1 wasn't Indian made loco, rather it was imported.
But yes, it was given to Waltair first, followed by Bandhamonda n later few were spotted at KGP too.
in the final days, most of them were scrapped, few went to Gonda shed too.
VSKP homed WDM-2, 2c, DG-2 in later stages which were obviously Indian made.
