But we don't want it to be extended. At present, it is the only train for the ever cursed section of SR, that is TPJ- PDKT- KKDI- SVGA- MNM. Moreover, Silambu is a biweekly train. If it gets extended, the quota for MNM, SVGA, KKDI and PDKT will be drastically reduced to pooled quota from general quota. And so, we will lose the only train available. Considering all the negative impacts of the extension, I vehemently oppose it as a native of PDKT.

Wait till the guage conversion of SCT- PUU is completed. You'll get more trains to Kerala via SCT.

That is due to lack of funds and technical difficulties. Workers cannot do their work in rainy season as the terrain is not favourable to work. Only 25% of the works have been completed till now. This GC will be completed only in 2020.
