Ya. But it's good that it has started to show up and that too in pink book. According to my information, it is to be completed by 2018-19 meeting the time line of DFC. As you may be aware that thus section is a feeder route under eastern dedicated freight corridor. And moreover a coal , cement , fertilizer , petrol and yes yesterday I spotted a BOXN rake with steel rolls here.
Yeah, 2018-19 is also expected time line for DFC . But really I don't have high hopes that our govt. will be able to complete it in that phase on their own. They are highly dependent on other companies and private sector funding which will take its own time.
This project is already been delayed with throw forward increasing from 24000cr to 100000cr. With already taken loans from world bank and Japan, so they have no choice but rather completing ASAP. The Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor is gathering pace, so IR is expecting to commission it by 2019.
Its a long long awaited work as Ambala Division had been recommending it since 2000 due to increase in freight traffic on this section.
