Members' own blog locking enabled Is Must ...
In case member feels his blog has served the pupose, and needs to be locked before 30 days time, then what harm is there to allow meber to avail this facility...
It is harmless to others and site...
Member can atleast save his own blog from flooding with 'additional' inputs...

Some times blog derails due to controversy . In that case Member can lock his blog.

C right now members arn't enabled to archive their own blog and I guess it's not required unless any controversy arises.. If you have given some post and think it served it's purpose. For 'you' it served the purpose but for 'others' may be it didn't and that other blogger need to clear something with other members on dame blog then it will lead to confusion and eventually archived section will Fill with much more post..
For Healthy environment archival is not a good thing at first.

when I write my blog, it talks about my views, and I should have freedom to archieve it... if others want to continue, as a link or thread, they can start fresh and quote this 'link address' for future reference.
No confusion, everyone is free to choose their own blog to continue or lock ... and how long any blog is open, Max thirdy days ... then site takes over the blog... So anyhow it is getting locked, but not before 'Sone unwanted stuff enters...' So it is better to give power to authors of blog to lock.... and site allows to open the locked blogs with some reasons....
