Another Budget commitment fulfilled. This is the third budget commitment fulfilled by the Ministry of Railways under the leadership of Minister of Railways Shri Suresh Prabhu. In a landmark agreement LIC has assured financial assistance upto Rs 1,50,000 crores over the next 5 years to the Ministry of Railways/its entities for remunerative projects of the Railways which have been committed to the Parliament.
The MoU was signed in the august presence of Shri Suresh Prabhu, Shri Arun Jaitley, Hon'ble Finance Minister, Shri Jayant Sinha, Hon'ble Minister of State for finance, and Shri Manoj Sinha , Hon'ble Minister of State for Railways. Source MoR Facebook
