Is it a must that we need to opt for the food in Rajadhani Express. I was trying to book in Rajadhani from ERS via IRCTC and it is not allowing to skip the MEAL option. How good is the food served. Is the rate included in the reservation itself or is it something i need to pay later depending upon my menu choice.
Yes you need mention choice of food either Veg or Non-Veg since charges for it are added in the ticket fare...Usually are decent enough and very good in some Rajdhanis.You need not pay any charges & again on board they will ask you about choice Veg or Non-veg before serving.
Food costs are included in the fare. There is no option of opting out of it. As for the quality, the ratings differ from avg to above avg depending upon the sense of past travelers and classes traveled.
Catering charges for all Rajdhani trains are included in the ticket fare. Unfortunately, you don't have the choice to not opt for that. :(
In Rajdhani/Duronto/Shatabdi/Premium trains, meal option is compulsory
