Return Journey Ticket in UTS is possible or only onward journey we get?

Yes return Journey Ticket in UTS is possible. One thing more if your journey is of 200 KM or more you can buy ticket/s from UTS counter 3 days(72 hours) in advance for both onward and return journey.
In Amrtisar UTS counter they are refusing to issue the Return Ticket, My recent experience that i requested a return ticket to Batala Junction. But clerk refused and said they won't issue any return Ticket
Amritsar to Batala is 38-39 km only, you can buy only same day(journey day) onward (ASR to Batala)and return journey(Batala to ASR) ticket from UTS counter. Generally they refuse return tickets, because if you do not want to travel (due to any reason)after buying onward and return ticket, you will get refund of onward ticket only. Return ticket (Batala to Asr) can be cancelled at Batala UTS Counter only. You can meet booking officer regarding this.
Actually i requested for a same day journey with 1 hr gap return from batala, As per UTS supervisor Mr. Deepak at amritsar station. Northern Railway is not issuing the return journey ticket past 1 year and more is it true
