Rajdhanis. It is also the first train in India which provide free wi-fi access. The Howrah Rajdhani Express left New Delhi station for Howrah station, on 3 March 1969, to cover a distance of 1,445 km in 17 hours 20 mins. At that time, it only had an AC Chair Car seating. Also, it reduced the travel time from Delhi to West Bengal from 24 hours to 17 hours. Howrah Rajdhani is the first and only Indian train to have two AC first class coaches.
12301/Howrah - New Delhi Rajdhani Express (via Gaya) travels 1451 km in 17h 5m with 6 halts at an average speed of 84 km/hr and belongs to Eastern Railways [ER].

1. Can you post the time table of the first Rajdhani? Because, the journey time has not reduced much when compared to the today's train. More stoppages could be a reason.
2. Can we get the fare details of the fare for the first Rajdhani? Just to have a perspective.

Sorry to say but I don't think there is any document/page from where we can get info related to old time table or fare details of First Rajdhani.

On a poignant note about Rajdhanis, I quote from the linked article,
"Overwhelmingly, the question asked, is: why, four decades on, are we still locked into 17-hour journeys and maximum speed of 130 or 140 km? As some point out, in the 40 years that the Howrah Rajdhani increased its speed from 120 to 130 kmph, China's rails went from nowhere to trains running at 300 kmph. Asks railway buff, Mohan Bhuyan: "Couldn't journey time at least have come down by one hour for every decade?" For the men who brought the Rajdhani into existence, too, the anniversary is bitter-sweet. "There has been a virtual freeze on the development of indigenous technology," says Banerji. "One Rajdhani has been replicated 200 times."
