VPT, SRT moved to PQ. My town deserves more than this being a district HQ and an important Business Hub in TN. So there is no daily train to MS under GN quota from here, really don't understand the logic behind this.

yes it takes additional hour of going via MDU. But even if it is diverted via APK, still it has to undergo rake reversal at MNM.
Bro.. I really doubt they will give one more train to Tuticorin. The specials that SR runs now are either to TEN or NCJ and none has been to Tuticorin. I really don't think Pearl City does has the same demand when compared to Podhigai, Nellai or KK. If they do start another overnight train from SCT to MS via Mainline with GNWL till MDU this may reduce the load of MDU passengers in other trains..
VPT people can get tickets by booking in Podhigai till or from TTL. It doesn't make much difference in fare.. But the demand for Podhigai is such huge that i barely needs another train Via any route to Chennai. Also the GN quota in Podhigai is mapped for close to 8 or 9 stations.. Next to Pandiyan, Podhigai is the most demanded train in SR as of my knowledge..
I really doubt this sir.. If SR had any Idea of running a train Via APK, MNM they would have tested it with a Summer SPL which they didnt do even is such huge demand.. Its very sad that this route and mainline is very under utilized..
SR's main intention is Chennai sir , similarly MDU's main intention is all train from MDU division should touch MDU
