Have you ever met any Train Ticket Examiner (TTE) in Indian Railways who does not accept bribes?

Just like how not all politicians are corrupt, not all policemen are corrupt, similarly not all TTEs are corrupt. I have not just met some non corrupt TTEs but also seen them go out of the way top help some hapless passengers. As for meeting a corrupt TTE, i have met them so many times but also see them being helped by wait listed or ticket less passengers who are willing to pay him. So both are corrupt.
I was travelling to ERN from MAS by MAS -TVC Spl in last JAN.
The passengers on the opposite of my berth were illiterate workers who get daily wages. Their manager had booked tkts on behalf of them but had missed to inform them to carry original ID proof.
As soon as the train started from MAS at 18.15, the TTE started checking tkts.

Yes. I have seen.
TTE made sure that there is no waited list passenger in coaches he was in charge. He joined in PGT, and at PTJ, he made all WL/UR passenger to move out of sleeper. That was the only time, i saw 12602 free from ppl sleeping in doors, in pathway.
