Foundation Stone laid for Escalator at Kannur Railway Station and expected to be completed by December-2015. Underpass construction from ticket counter likely to start soon. More top priority works still under the red tape & deep freezer, like pitline, new platforms, track concreting, etc.

As the income from this financial year(2014-15) is also just below 60 crores(58 cr.), the A1 status is far ahead. Last year, the income was 48 crores and the criteria was 50 crores.
