Doesn't this solely demonstrate the incapability of IR to maintain/develop its own stations/junctions?
Sometimes I wonder where all the fortune earned from 200+ passengers travelling in coaches with less than 100 seats/berths goes?
Sometimes I wonder where all the fortune earned from 200+ passengers travelling in coaches with less than 100 seats/berths goes?
Even i think the same...the fare Is decided according to the capacity of that particular mode of transport ..but even after carrying 2-3times more passengers than the capacity of trains railways run in loss where as private bus operators make money even though the bus carries passengers according to its capacity or even less than capacity..

The fortune earned by IR from the 200+ Passengers travelling in chaches with less than 100 seats/berths is going to unwanted Tenders. For example: in various Railway Zones and Division, just for the sake of making the Contractors 'Carodpatis', our own gallant Engineering Officials (right from AEN level to DEN/Sr.DEN to Dy.CE to PCE and importantly ME level) officers float fictitious RFPs/Tenders for various civil engineering works like construction of boundary walls in Railway lands with specific depth/width/height/length. Some contractor bags the contract. He will never fulfill the job with quality leave alone the depth/width/height/length aspects. Concerned Engg staff will prepare the Measurement Books as all perfect and close the case. Contractor gets the payment.
