The situation is not like this all zones. SR and SCR are actually making good use of their allotted WAP7's. After RPM started getting P7's, LGD's burden reduced and now quite a few trains (including a few crawlers) in SCR are getting LGD P7's and RPM P7's are a common sight now in MAS-SBC and MAS-CBE routes. In fact, instead of keeping them idle, SWR is using them to run even very short distance express/passengers like SBC-BWT exp and SBC-Marikuppam passenger.
