CMRL ko Cars and coaches ka contract Indian company ko dena chahiye tha. Waise abhi tak koi bhi metro rail corporations ne Indian companies ko initially contract nhi diya (Ex- Kolkata metro rail). Agar India mein coaches and cars ka design and initial manufacturing hota toh bahut acha hota and minimum time pe cars and coaches available ho jaate. Saare state ke govt apne state mein yahi chahti hai ki unke seher mein metro rail chale,but govt har samay foreign companies ko coaches and cars ka contract diya karti hai. India mei BHEL/BEML jaise companies bahut acha aur bahut less cost mein kaam ker sakti hai.
AFAIK Jaipur Metro coaches are from BEML/BHEL only.. Now I guess dedicated metro Manufacturing plant will be setup in India Too in,Coming Years
Yes JMRC has initiated its rolling stocks by giving contract to BEML. And this is a great thing , well I wish all the other state CM's should do the same and rely on National companies.
